Kate and Will explore the energetic meeting point of Asia and Europe, Istanbul and visit five places that capture the art of the city.

Kicking off in the Old City, this global art destination is a cultural and historic melting pot and nowhere exemplifies this more than their first stop, Aya Sophia, famous for it’s innovative architectural form, rich history, religious importance.

After searching for the giant street art works of the international festival Mural Istanbul at Kadikoy, they head to the New City where they visit the Mixer Gallery, a new space for artists from the region to exhibit, and the Pera Museum to see the orientalist galleries home to paintings by artists from 18th and 19th Century.

They end their trip at a former shipping warehouse on the docks of the Golden Horn, the Istanbul Modern, which houses the city’s most prestigious collections.
