Mumbai is booming with more than its fair share of art, and Kate and Will travel to the brash, chaotic and glitzy gateway to India to see these treasures for themselves.
Their first stop sees them travel a short stretch of the Arabian Sea to Elephanta Caves, home to some spectacular ancient Hindu sculptures. They soak up more history at one of India’s premier art museums, the CSMVS Museum, which houses 60,000 objects, including some magical Indian miniatures.
Calaba provides the location to sample India’s vibrant contemporary art scene as Kate and Will art crawl around the area’s many galleries.
The cultural treasures aren’t limited to it’s artwork with the stunning architecture of the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, the curvaceous buildings of the Art Deco Area and the Bollywood Art Project murals in the western suburb of Bandra, forming the final destinations for the pair.
